My female pekin Sandy has a drooping wing and seemed to be getting wet in the snow and rain. I removed her from her pen which she stays in with three other ducks 2 male and another female. they all get along very well. put her in a seperate pen with a heat lamp she's seems to be donig better. has anyone else had this problem? she doesn't seem to be in any pain. she's 2yrs old.
thanks

I'm wondering if it's drop wing, which is usually diet related. Otherwise, could be injury. You might try googling drop wing and see if it looks like that. I'm not sure if that usually happens bilaterally or can occur unilateral. Also, you can purchase Vetwrap (used for horses), and wrap it around her to keep the wing snug to her body and keep it in a normal position.

or maybe she has neglected preening that wing which allows the wing feathers to absorb waater amd the extra water is causing the wing to drop. Try to get her dried out and see if the drop disappers. If so than you have to figure out why she isn't grooming that one wing. good luck!
