About a week ago I purchased 6 Dominique chicks and today I’m down to 3. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong and could use some advice.

They can be stressed. Are they eating? Where are you keeping them? I usually mix their dry chicken feed with an extra boiled egg yolk. You can add to the water chicken probiotics and electrolytes. Change water every day. Change their bedding. Glenda

Hi!, sorry to hear, are you supplying them with heat? There are a million possibilities so I'm gonna ask a ton of questions to narrow it down. Are they acting lethargic or sick at all? What is your brooder setup?

The have been eating great. I’m keeping them in a water trough (like at the store), with a heat lamp that we’ve used for goats, I have a thermometer in there so I can keep track of the temperature. I haven’t tried the hard boiled egg but I will.
Thank you and I’ll keep this updated!

Yeah I have a heat lamp and a thermometer to make sure I don’t over heat them. No they are running around acting like healthy baby chicks. Then the next thing I know they die over night. It’s like the set up in the TSC, clean water and fresh bedding and food every day.

@awalker818 does their poop look especially runny or bloody? Also, is your heat bulb designed for Poultry? Some bulbs are teflon coated, and they give off a gas that is dangerous to chicks.

Are you checking for pasty butt? How warm is it?do they have a section of cooler space in the run? Picture of brooder setup
