It happened while I was at preschool with my son.....%#it,
Temp was down to 23.3degrees (should be 37.7) I replaced the globe and heated it up with a hairdryer.

It is so frustrating, especially with these eggs that were shipped and the others that i suspect were in the fridge and upside down.
With only half the eggs being viable and then this happens, it is just upsetting.

I just don't think this hatch is meant to be............I woke up this morning and the humidity was down to 37%.

It will be a miracle if any of them hatch

This sux!

I will carton hatch as often as possible from now on... I have tried both ways, and in my opinion, the chicks hatch with a lot less distress and they are unable to kick the other pipped eggs around the hatcher... sometimes it's not practical to carton hatch when you have a large number of eggs... but boy, it works well when U can use the cartons!

I did two hatches in egg flats; one laying down and one with the big end up. Both hatches went very well with good results. I don't think it makes any difference.

One has Pipped!!
