They are soooo cute...

One black fluff, one grey/silver fluff, one white fluff, one yellow fluff.

a while back we hatched eggs in an eggcarton, and then about 2-3 days before hatching time, we took them all out of the egg carton and layed them all on a paper towel on their sides in the bottom of the incubator. Anyways, the ones that have already hatched are adorable if thats them in the pics

good luck with your chicks, and any other eggs!

some of the eggs were shipped so I had them all in cartons from the very start. It was just easier for me and i think settles the shipped eggs better with the air sell staying in the correct place.

The eggs that i was not sure that would hatch or that I could not see into, I would normally put in an egg carton anyway, don't want the little chickens kicking around an egg that may explode?

Also it makes it easier for the chickens that have not hatched yet, the others can't kick em round the bottom of the incubator.

my next lot of eggs (yes i am a hatchaholic) will have to be on their sides because there is too many of them for cartons, they wont fit in the incubator!

Another three hatched this morning and these are the others in the brooder, not easy to get them all to stand together for a photo.

Some of these are pure breed light sussex bantams, any idea which ones? some are more white and others yellowish. In the incubator are the silver penciled wyandotte and gold laced wyandotte and a pekin bantam.
