Do your chicken like their mash wet like ours do? We keep some separate feed out for the layers in a place that our chicks cannot reach. When it rains and gets the feed wet, the chickens loved it. We now regularly wet the feed for them and they run for it when they us coming with "the pan." No surprise really, since we have fed our chicken oatmeal and they seemed to love the consistency. Is this wet feed fetish common?

Yep, Some big chicken farmers only feed mash......cuz it is less expensive. They add molasses and water. Wet feed is less wasteful. The chickens can't scatter it around.

Personally, I prefer pellets, because of the waste issue. But, my chickens do get excited over a big bowl of soggy mash.
