Dry hatching?

It isn't just not adding water the first 18 days. You HAVE to get a GOOD reliable hygrometer, and for the first 18 days, keep the humidity at 20-30%. If it gets lower, then add a small amount of water to bring the humidity up to 20-30%. ON the 18th day add a big pan or bowl of water. Try to get your humidity up to 60-70%. And make sure the pan is big enough that you don't have to refill it again during lock down. If you can you can put a hose that will go inside the incubator, and put the end of the hose in the pan of water, and put a funnel on the hose on the outside of the incubator, so if you do run out of water, you can fill up the pan without having to open the incubator. It may save your Chicks' Lives if you do this, because if you open the incubator to add water while the chicks are hatching, you run the risk of shrink wrapping the chicks. If you have any other questions about what I just said PM me.
