DS Won 2nd Place in Speech Contest!

My DS is in 4H and competed in the Farm Bureau Youth Speech Contest that was part of the Youth Fair Events. This was his first competion and first time with 4H. He had to write a 5 minute speech on the topic of "What opportunities and/or challenges exist for Florida Agriculture in regards to renewable energy and climate change legislation?"

There were 25 initial entrants, 16 dropped out, and out of the 9 that competed. My DS got 2nd place.

I am so proud of him.

The prize for 2nd place was $75.00.

I am very proud of him. It was a tough topic indeed and he does not have an agriculture background. Plus I did not help at all. He did it all himself.
