What's a nice dual purpose white egg laying breed? Prefer something a bit laid back.

I ordered some (25 straight run) Catalanas which are a dual purpose birds. Here's the link to the pictures. I should be getting them late Jan. Yay!

They lay medium/large white to tinted eggs. (Which means...grayish)

The barred hollands would be my choice, I had a few yrs back, heavy birds that layed big white eggs..

Anconas tend to be flighty if you don't handle them a lot and you can only keep one rooster, any more and they will fight. Their eggs are nice though, white and medium to large sized, and they are pretty birds.

I was also going to say Barred Hollands. They are similar to Barred Rocks, although not quite as large a bird. I'd love to have some myself.
