Dubbing OEG combs/ wattles?

400
this is the one lost points not as bad as others I've already cut

I figured dubbing eliminated the frostbite, changed that for healing cuts. I've never been able to get over just how tough these birds are, they don't fight or squawk when dubbing them. I work to much, so i don't get to handle them like i need to some look at u when u feed like they just want to fight u. If they are handled they ara just as nice as could be.

Mine usually complain about the process but begin acting normal almost immediately. All said and done nobody enjoys process around here. Current case I am dealing with is a little more severe than with yours but not by much. Even so, untreated he would likely do fine but I want control for complications of infection. If get by camera charger at lab, then I will upload my case.

We have power to camera for an upload.

Photograph is of a young cock that was in pen where freezing rain got onto him bigtime a couple of weeks ago. He got frostbit the following morning rather than at night during the rain. By days end balance of pens will be better protected from the wind and cold starting tomorrow.

I don't know anyone who does enjoy the cutting but they shure do look good after they heal. Somehow they don't look right with all that crap on there heads. I read a book on dubbing they were talking about leghorns, but the health benifets were surprising.

I never got into how pretty the looked dubbed but grew up expecting that is they it should be. I just did not get into my head why a critter would have all that exposed flesh in our winters. Took a while to realize their wild ancestors were tropical to sub-tropical and had smaller combs than our games.

Black tips and a blue line just above his head probably half inch maby a little more, his wats were about two thirds blue also. Made me sick to see him like that!
