Hey ya'll I don't have any good recent pics, I have baby peacocks I've been dealing with, and of course work. 2 of my roos are bloodied up, they lived happily for a year and they all of a sudden decided they could no longer live in the same coop and they've both got scabby combs. It was son and father duo and son tore his dad up. Made me so angry!!! Other pics are on my profile page on the bottom and when I take new pics I'll be sure to post! Mailing off my membership form to the BD&BB Club in the morning!

He was housed with his son and Beau took care of his boy from the time he was a chick. One morning I went out there and noticed that Beau wasn't the first one out of the coop. I also noticed later that his manner and posture were very differential to Jr. Easy to guess what happened, and yes I was upset, I love Beau sooooo much I hated to see him beat down by his little brat son. Needless to say they had to be separated since I wasn't willing to allow Beau to be dominated.

on these is want my 2010 APA book says ( Tail: Main Tail Black, each feather tipped with white. Sickles and Coverts- Greenish Black, each Feather tipped with v-shaped white Spangle)
now my question why if the rooster are to have each feather white tipped why are they so hard to find that way. But the one that show and won still do not have White tipped feathers.
I have two rooster that have white tipped tails and have to young ones that do not.

If they come before the first molt then you get too much white and that's bad. It doesn't look like a spangle any more. So in cockerel class you should see only black tail feathers, and even in the cock class you sometimes see them without the white tail spangle. But winners are based on points, so a cock without spangles that has a better beard, muffs, feet can win over a lesser bird with tail spangles.

Does that make sense?

Also, I believe you need to list Gold Neck and Splash separately. The splash is a product of the Andalusian gene and the Gold Neck carries the dominant white gene.
