I have a MF trio that I got from someone in Arkansas. Do ya'll thinks he looks ok? He was hatched around January.

He has more white on him now. He seems to change daily.

That's a silver sebright. Not a MF.

I wanted to point SEVERAL of you to a poor-quality breeder here in Georgia using pictures FROM THIS THREAD as his own in his ads for selling chickens. It's a blatant copyright violation, and I guarantee he didn't ask anyone for permission. (Ask yourself who NEEDS to use someone else's photos in their ads for chicks...)

I was first alerted to it by a friend who pointed out he had been using photos from MyPetChicken.com, Meyer Hatchery, and some other large hatcheries. Apparently she reported those, but when I looked up the ads myself, I noticed several photos that I had personally seen on here. So please check these ads:

@Godiva , I know for a fact he is using a picture of one of your birds (the URL that ends in 872). Same with @wwmicasa1 (not currently, unless you own one of those in the 245 ad, but I have personally seen him using that pic of Domino squatting down with her tail completely upright which is the photo that lead me back to this thread to make you all aware), as well as photos from here posted by @wegotchickens , @spook , @end9586 , @Celtic Hill , @critterbug , and @SunshineSilkies . HOWEVER, he changes the pictures around a lot, so if you don't see them today, check back in roughly 24 hours. He deletes all of the ads and reposts them every 24 hours or so, but he NEVER uses his own photos. He has a reputation around the entire state of Georgia as being a horrible breeder. About 20 of us on the Georgia thread have had bad experiences with him - most commonly receiving sick chickens, but also purchasing "purebred" chicks that aren't anywhere near purebred, getting something expecting it to look like the chickens in the pictures and they aren't even breeder-quality, buying a certain breed that is actually something else, or getting chicks that were "sexed" and none of them turn out correct.

IF HE DELETES THESE ADS BEFORE YOU SEE THEM, just go to Craigslist, select the Atlanta area, and search for "chicks". He'll have several ads (between 5 and 15) that give no city location. The location in all of them just says "Georgia". His ads give directions almost to his house, (includes taking I-20 west of Atlanta, turning immediately after Kobota Tractors which is a cream building with a red stripe around it, etc.), usually says something about "transport boxes free" and lately he has been using the name "JJs chickens and rabbits" but someone said he changes that every few months to try to get rid of the negative image. He also uses a lot of mis-placed parenthesis, periods, and stars in his ads - such as the line that says "All Lay(5) eggs per Week" with no point in having the parenthesis. But I'm not trying to point out grammatical errors, just trying to help you guys find the ads where YOUR PHOTOS of YOUR chickens are being used by him to sell chicks.

This is a copyright violation, and you all can contact Craigslist at [email protected] to have it addressed (you can flag the ad too, but make sure you contact them with the Post ID). Again, several photos from THIS VERY THREAD either have been, or are currently, being used in his ads. If you see any of other breeds, and you know who owns those photos or chickens, then please feel free to alert them as well.
