Hello hdowden,
Just got my first hatch done from the birds I was telling you about in my profile. Hatched 4 on Friday (one perished due to my neglect, thinking my broody D'uccle would take them NOT) Got one Mille, Blue and one Black Mottled. Then on the full moon and unexpected hatch (thought I had a week left) I got an array of colors. One that looks to be an all Black and and Porcelain. There are no Porcelain's in this group. The only Porcelain I have is in the hen house and we use her eggs for hard boiled poppers. So I guess my project is to see how many different colors I can get with one Blue Mottled and 2 Mille's covered by one Black Mottled D'Uccle.

heres some pics of the babies the 2 lavender/porcelain babies have different legs colors as well but have some really nice leg/foot feathers, the 2 silkie/d'uccles also have different leg coloring and one has a crest and one doesnt, all 4 have nice beards
My roos have a melodic crow and they are not loud or obnoxious. I love my D Uccles. Personally I would get the MF Roo. MF hen and blue MF hen. But it is a personal choice.
(Or the lavender roo, mf hen, blue mf hen and black mottled hen)
I had terrible luck with my Porcelein eggs, hatched out exactly one which promply died. So I am down to a trio of MF's - very pretty and I agree with the relatively quiet crow (especially compared to my little bullhorn bantam cochins!)
