D'uccle Thread

I read it but it seemed kinda vanilla. Bland. It did not show how truly stunning these little birds can be.

Agreed... it's too bad they didn't even get one good picture of the classic MF coloring. Seems like most of the ones shown in the pics were babies... And they didn't say much about their awesome personalities. Oh well... at least it was a feature.

Yes, it was at least a feature. But I'd have gone to someone that breeds for show if I were doing a feature on a particular variety.

I'm tempted to send in a letter with some pics.....

Sorry to change the subject, but.....Is anyone bringing d'uccles to the Hart County Bantam show tomorrow in Hartwell, GA? I was thinking of going but have yet to see more than 1 or 2 d'uccles. Not sure I want to make the drive if no one will be there. If not this weekend, is anyone planning to attend the show in Jefferson, GA in January? Thanks.

Definitely not going to the Hart County show.

Would like to go to the January show, but am not sure yet if we can. Really really want to, but I still haven't gotten show info from the contact person, so I can work out logistics.

Did you get my pm with the info? I mentioned to him that you may contact him. I think all of the info is can be found on the website www.negapfa.com let me know if something is missing. I am so hoping to see some d'uccles at that show! It is very unfortunate that there aren't more breeders close by. I would love to meet you and see your birds. I am still looking....

Please let me know if you ever have hatching eggs or even babies. I may be up for a road-trip!

Yes, I did get your e-mail! I thought I responded... if not, I apologize.

That web site is helpful. Problem is, they haven't posted check-in times or any definite testing info. I don't know if I'll be NPIP by then. Also, I would have to drive in Saturday, I think. So that's a really early start. Last but not least, I have to make sure I don't have a band conflict with my daughter, too.

If I can't make that show, I will definitely be at the one (in Dalton, I think) in February.

Now is a bad time for hatching eggs, since they've all been freezing.

I'd like to hatch some for the January show, but have to make sure I can go first. And that the birds will lay some for me to hatch

If Life cooperates, I'll have d'Uccle chicks. If Life really smiles on me, I might have lavenders as well.

So many variables.... <sigh>

Sorry. I forgot it was email. You did respond and very promptly too.

If you need more info about the Jan show, you can contact <[email protected]> Jack is running the show. No pressure. I am just eager to get my hands on some d'uccles. Of course, I pick the worse time to look for eggs and babies! I will make sure the February show is on my calendar. How far are you from Atlanta?
