That's what is looks like. Or playing in the mud eating worms? I know we've had a LOT of rain in my area lately....

Most milles are still not laying <sigh>

But the first chick from my new lav roo hatched (crossed with the lav splits) and it's a lavender baby

Has VERY downy middle toes, too.

More were pipped and zipping, so I hope to go home to a BUNCH of lavenders this afternoon.

My hens also enjoy dunking their beards in the waterer and food as if it's some sort of facial.

They're making themselves look ugly so the roosters leave them alone!

I wonder why your milles are being so stingy with their eggs, it must be weather because mine lay just about every day and I do nothing special for them. Congrats on the new lavender.

Good Evening everyone. Gota question, trying to find others who have bought Porcelain D'Uccles eggs from Gabbard Farms? I have two for a hatch last year. Wondering if anyone else have some and if they like them? Mine are sweet kinda of flighty, but coming around. I'm thinking about ordering more. What do u think.

Arlo is a D Uccle, so pretty! I adore every feather on his little body. He's got the cutest little toes. I gave him a pinch of millet seeds with his chicken food this morning & he loved it.
