Just as well. I'm rethinking white d'Uccles and considering taking a LOT of birds to sell in KY. I can't let the whites play in the sun, or they yellow. But if they can't be chickens then what's the point? The Catch-22 of wanting to keep only potential showbirds but let them be chickens at the same time.

Awww...that's like me not letting my chickens run around in the yard if I plan on showing them next year b/c they might break off their foot feathers. I'll just take them as-is to the show, see what happens

I just caught Beau and Lizzie roosting on top of a ledge over my poor broody hen, pooping on Nugget. Poor Nuggs, it was messy poop, too. She's on Day 19 tomorrow. She was not happy when I wiped her back with paper towels, which ain't easy while she's trying to remove my hands with her beak. No idea why they want to roost on the back of the nests rather than on the empty roost bars. At least JoBeth was being good--she stayed on the roost where I had put her earlier. I'll be moving Nugget into the broody pen tomorrow or Thursday so just another night or two to contend with the Terrible Trio.
