Sorry, Doug, but I missed this.

The onyl accepted colors:
Mille Fleur 1914
Porcelain 1965
White 1981
Black 1996
Golden Neck 1996
Mottled (meaning black mottled only) 1996
Self-blue 1996

Blue mille fleur and blue mottled are both AOV, not standard.

This is what I thought.
Now comes the question of Golden Neck are they Splash Mille Fluer or do they use dominant white.
If I recall previous posts on other threads in europe they have dominante white and in North America they are normally Splash.
If this is the case there should be lots of Blue Mille Fluer out there.

Here is an old picture of one of our Blue Mille Fluer hens from 2009.

Technically Golden Neck should be dominant white. Many splash d'Uccles can pass as Golden Neck. Visible black smut is acceptable, visible blue smut is not, and throws them into the blue mille fleur category (according to what some old-timers told me this weekend).
Golden neck / Splash is one of those grey areas in NA d'Uccle breeding, I think.

Lori, I think we're getting into your area. I think it would be Mille Fleur.

I don't keep porcelain, but my understanding is mf split to porcelain. You shouldn't see any porcelain until the next generation, but might if the mf carries it.

Clear as mud?

When I bred lav x mf I got black birds with some gold leakage & some red leakage. I didn't get red/brown, quail, and other funky colors until I hot the next generation.
However, others have gotten other funky colors early on. It depends on what genetics are hiding in your lav & mf....

Yes, it was wonderful. Now when I see your handle, I see you, much nicer. I had a great time, safe trip, it couldn't have been better. Hope you had the same.
