D'uccle Thread

Yup!

I had 6 Mile Fleur d'Uccles hatch... 3 are having leg problems but the other 3 are fine. I do have a question.... one of them is chipmunk striped... is that normal?

Ah, Life in chicken jail..... This guy has flogged me one too many times, but I think he is super gorgeous for color even if his feet aren't the best. He's calmed down since the day I nearly wrung his neck. He used to be a sweetie, but with the hormones and other roosters, his bad boy attitude came out. I think I may give him a chance though, and see how his babies turn out. I think he is just too gorgeous and I kind of like the 'tiny' white dots vs the normally too many dots I see. He is a year old now. Any thoughts, anyone?

I was told that these two cuties are Belgian Bearded D’uccle bantams...do you D'uccle experts agree???

do we have any idea of a coloring they may be? I'm learning about this breed...
Are these particular birds going to look COMPLETELY different when their feathering comes
in or will they stay about the same colorings?

They look like Belgian Mille Fleur to me and they will not look the same once they are fully feathered and will keep changing till fully mature. My guess is they are going to be colored like the ones in my avatar picture.

Obviously I have a lot to learn about this breed; going to do research; but can anyone tell me offhand; if they arent bearded, what qualitites will they possess
that the bearded dont have? (make sense?)
