Both of these fella's are going to a friend of mine, but I have the Citron/mottle in with a few girls that are laying and am hoping to get some interesting chicks. I'm hoping that my Porc' starts laying because I would LOVE to mate them 2 up and maybe get some Lav' mottled D'Uccles. I think the first one is simply beautiful!!

I bought an entire flock from a lady and included were 2 young roos that have wattles. I wll be taking them to the sale next week as just plain ol yard chickens, lol but they are cute with those big wattles and combs and all those feathers on the feet.

I know, my wattled boys are cute too but they act a little "stupid" for some reason. I have tamed most of the others but these just don't want to be nice. they squawk and run and act nuts when you try to handle them.

I'd say the first one is definitely a mottled, even with the yellowing. Mottled feathers will be all one color (black or blue) with white at the tip. Citroen feathers will be exactly the same as the mille pattern (brown with a black bar and white spangle) but with a light yellowish orange color in place of the mahogany/orange/brownish color.

My black mottled cochin roo also gets yellowish tips from being outside in the sun.

Sold all of my extra porcelain d'uccle pairs and have a pair of mottled GIRLS left, a pair of white d'uccles and a trio of gold neck d'uccles. Can be convinced to sell my single Mille Fleur D'uccle girl and/or Blue Mille Fleur D'uccle girl along with my single remaining Porcelain boy if you talk nice
