She's a very interesting little girl, not a Citrine, but VERY interesting none the less. If she were mine, I'd take pics and ask Dave Hancox if she would be of use in a color project breeding program for the lemons/citrines; but that's me.

You had Porcelain? Did they have the Porcelain pattern and the true Porcelain coloring, or were they just kind of washed out? That's really hard to believe that you could get a Porcelain from a MF no matter how light she is, unless.......................???? hummm..... I'm confused. What is it you're breeding them too?

Yes, he's a no nonsense kind of guy, so don't expect to chit chat with him, but you'll get the straight scoop from him. His handle is blackdotte, there is also Henk who developed the "Chicken Calculator," both of these guys are extremely knowledgeable and can be a little difficult to follow at times, but if you get totally lost, someone can most likely help interpret for you.

Just to let you know a bit about your Porcelain, you'll never get any other color from it but what you breed to it, i.e. M.F., etc. once you breed the Porcelain to something else, you loose it. You have breed Porcelain to Porcelain. Just thought I'd let you know that.

chip - I'm thinking you're going to have to talk to Doug about the lemons. I think there still aren't any in the US, so unless you can get him to smuggle some across the border ( JUST KIDDING!!!!! Really!!! It was a JOKE! ) I don't think we'll be seeing any lemons for a while. In Europe I believe they're called Citrine, and I agree with you a flock of them would be wonderful, they're gorgeous. I don't know if it's because they are so different from what we are accustomed to or it's the color contrast, but there is something terribly appealing about them.
Nancy

Well, doesn't that just stink!

OK, so does anyone have any porcelain hatching eggs for sale? Those would be nice to have, too!

I'm NOT new to d'Uccle but honestly, I can't tell what sex that chick is. I might "guess" and I say that with a strong qualifier on guess, but I say it simply because I don't see much in the way of a comb and when you look at the chick from above, the wings are starting to feather out and if I try to use my imagination I might think that I can see feathers beginning to come in down the middle of the back, but other than that, the chick is WAY to young to guess the sex.
With d'Uccle, you can usually tell by the appearance of the comb when it begins to develop, until then it is very difficult to determine the sex unless you are a professional vent sexer.
