Haha, thanks for the close up!

how old is she in this pic??? Is this the diva we were looking at earlier? I'm still pretty sure it's a hen, but the comb is very red and bigger here so now I'm confused....

i took that picture on the same day of the same chick/pullet or cockeral!!!its just a close up!!!

I've never seen non-hatchery d'Uccles babies before - what a difference! The body shape is more condensed - which if you look at pictures from oversees, is more correct. The foot feathering is out of this world! No, "hmmm, will they grow in more when the chick gets older?" Nope. Copious and complete on all appropriate toes - the all-important middle toes are thickly covered! So beautiful! Cute little buggers, listening to them trill and chat with each other right now. It's pretty cold out - only 31 degrees F earlier today, so these youngsters will be my house guests til much older.

Thank you, Michele!
d'Uccle babies are great they can stay in the house way longer then LF. I glad you like. I believe they will get longer. My Blue Mille Fleur Rooster's foot feathering is great. I should have shown him.

Yeah, Parker, you have more d'uccles!

Looks like my last hatch has nothing but roos again....Oh well. When they grow, I'll sell them off. I'm not going to ship anything in winter. Not with those disgruntled postal workers.

mstricer, just in case you didn't read what I wrote correctly, I was raving about how wonderful your babies foot feathers are! Or are you saying that they will get even more amazingly long? Nice.

I thought you would like. Their feathers were so long, they curled under their feet when they hatched.
