D'uccle Thread

Thanks for your input I can hold onto them both right now and will keep them both until spring. I have been leaning toward keeping #1 but wanted to see what everyone else thought. I am worried about #2's blade and that it will seperate. Their feet are pretty close to the same, hard to tell in these pictures without focus on them.

What do your girls look like? It looks like #1 on might be a little heavy on the white while #2 might have better coloring or a little heavy on black. #2 has much better foot feathering by far and is slightly better wattle wise. It depends on what the pullets/hens look like, but if I had to choose now without knowing, I would definitely go with #2. I would recommend keeping them until they are 6 months and see what their temperaments, color, and type look like then

Nice boys!

Nice boys!
I have one hen with a lot of white like #1 and one hen that is dark like #2. I have been looking for more eggs to hatch to get more hens but have not had any luck yet. What are you seeing in the wattles, what should I be looking for there?

Here are pictures of the mottled D'uccle chicks, that I hatched from mstricer's eggs.

Does anyone have bearded mille fluer, porcelin or any color/project color pullets or roosters. Preferably in trios or just single buys. Willing to be shipped soon and soon.
I will have some Mille fleur, porcelain, and possibly mottled pullets and cockerels soon. I have never shipped before, but I plan on learning how. Where do you live?
