D'uccle Thread

I have several quality cockerels in Black Mottled & Blue Mottled. Here are pics of my breeder roos.

Merlin-Blue Mottled

King Arthur-Black Mottled

If you would like pics of the boys I have available, let me know. Also, I ship.

Oh they are beautiful! Im not looking for single buy boys though since I already have a rooster and he is very docile so he gets picked on. That's why he is moved. They are very pretty though. If you had any in pairs or trios would like to buy them.

i dont think large wattles are a DQ just points off. that blue is down right gorgous. he could use a bit of work on making wattles smaller and beard bigger and sharpen up the white on the tail but other than that i would so use him in breeding

That's ok, I don't show :)
Your roosters are drop dead gorgeous!!

I have one hen with a lot of white like #1 and one hen that is dark like #2. I have been looking for more eggs to hatch to get more hens but have not had any luck yet. What are you seeing in the wattles, what should I be looking for there?

You should be looking for no wattles. This is my old cockerel, he is in horrible condition feather-wise (no beard

) but you can see that he really has pretty much no wattles.

It was a blast. How are your babies doing. I just hatched out 2 more Black Mottled. I have just rearranged the breeding coop. Now I can't wait until I get eggs. Thank you for the congrats. Michele

I haven't lost a one! They are so nice to listen to...chirping OMG a baby just divebombed out of the brooder!!! be right back

Ok back. Wasn't a d'Uccle baby that flew out - was a blue egger I'm breeding for my own use.

Anyway, they are doing great! All getting along well with the other random chicks in the brooder, and as I was saying, so lovely to listen to their chirps, coos and trills. I love it when they trill....

Some of them have huge cheek muffs and beards for their age - not to mention the great foot feathering. I really look forward to seeing them all grown up. I'm going to wait for any culling til they are at least 8 months old. I don't want to accidentally sell a great bird.

Thank you very much for them!
