D'uccle Thread

I just wanted to ask you what you all think, Standard wise, of a couple of my birds?

Mille fleur pullet, 2 months. In my opinion, she has great color.

Mille fleur cockerel, 2 months. He has no white on him (except one completely white hidden feather), but he's still young.

Mille fleur pullet #2, 2 months old. Has alot of white on back feathers now.

Let me know what you think!! Thanks!

They dont really have any beards unless there is a picker so their most likely booted rather than D'uccles and they are kinda light on the toe feathering. The spangling will definitly take more time though...still prettty though!:)

If I'm going to play with color, I prefer to use birds that I know quite well. I can't post photos on BYC right now (they just won't load for some reason), but you can see them on my website...

I have to say that is an awesome breeding coop/barn!

Thanks!
We bought a repo shed and fitted it out with the divided interior and outer runs. I can keep 5 different sets of breeding birds in there. I have a grow-out enclosure also, that I don't think isn't any pics. My next shed will be larger though ;)
But, being in a subdivision, I'm really as large an operation as I can get away with right now.

Maybe we'll wiin the lottery tonight <sigh>

WeGotChickens, just checkout your webpage and all I can say is: must. have. black. D'Uccles!!!!!!!
Wish you could see them in person. Soooo incredibly striking!
Anyone who likes the color black and wants d'Uccles falls for them. Had one guy that was awestruck and PESTERED ME for months online about selling him some. Finally met up with him and sold him a very young pair at the show last weekend. Now I'm down to my winter numbers, pretty much....

Except for the fact that I plugged in the incubator :p
