I love my Olive Eggers though I'm trying to get a different color chick then Black. I just got my first egg from my Olive Eggers, produced from a blue egg laying EE under a BCM. Her chicks will be from a Lav AM roo over my OE, can't wait to see. You can see some of my eggs in my signature.

coopersville, between grand rapids and muskegon :) I don't sell, but some of the MI peeps might? Or some of my chatty friends?

(my flock isn't "clean" so i can't sell :( ) There are a lot more breeds available locally than you might suppose! :) I sure wish i could sell/ trade, because my porcelain d'uccles are looking really nice! (a friend ordered off internet, they look show quality i think! ) pics soon :)

The standard is not mahogany, what are you looking at for the standards? I have the 2011 ABA bantam SOP book and it does not say mahogany, It states "Brilliant light orange vermillion", for the boys and for girls it is "Rich golden Buff. You can see it here: http://belgianduccle.hypermart.net/millefleur.html I think you were looking at the British standards yes. At Ohio National Poultry show my Mille beat bigger birds, she was one of the smaller ones there they are only supposed to weigh 1 lb. 6 oz./ 625 grams for a hen and 1 lb. 10 oz. / 740 grams for a rooster.
it was the european but they have the more original color then america and have kept mostly the same color and body and i respect that im looking into the european since my line is from the european but i still would like to have the european recognized here so it can be shown

ok so the standards say each feather should be tipped with white i dont understand why im being told my hens have bto much white my roo i understand but my hens have no pure white feathers and they are black cresented with a white v-shaped tip

Ok I broke bad and got a Brinsea Octagon 20. It should be delivered this week. I will purchase the cradle turner once I have sold some eggs or chicks AND after Christmas is paid off...... Thanks to everyone for helping me decide on which model!!!!!
