D'uccle Thread

I found a secret stash of eggs!!!! About 15 of them under my black mille hen. I left her two but grabbed the others and they are now in my bator. I have 60 eggs in there, all due to hatch every couple of days. wooohooo!!!

I've decided to wait with my little Roos and pair them up with some of the pullets. The "mean" one has quit his meaness after I did the holding him down. Now, we have a bunch of huge roosters who have already killed two of our smaller hens. They killed one of my SQ Phoenix pullets who I planned on showing. I was not happy. They arent even my roosters and I'm trying as fast as I can to move my Phoenixes to a different pen. All of my D'uccles will always be separated.
its good that he isnt mean any more.that really stinks about your hen.

I found someone selling so many colors of d'uccles, cochins, and silkies. The d'uccle colors are mille fleur, self blue, blue mille fleur, lemon mille fleur, porcelain, black and blue mottled, ermine, white, golden necked, barred, red barred, blue barred. he lives in Alaska so im asuming that is why my emails wont go threw, unless. . .

What is ermine?

My D'Uccles are still young so no eggs from them or my Sablepoot pullet. I would love to get some more Booteds this spring that lay. And maybe some more D'uccle hens or pullets.

Yes it does stink about my Phoenix. But this spring I will also order some Phoenix pullets. My little hen is good about getting as many eggs under her as she can. One time she had about 18 eggs under her. She is a very tiny Phoenix but not small enough to be a bantam. She now has 5 to hatch. One is a black silkie/silver lakenvelder so in interested to see how this turned out. There are also two Porcelin Sablepoot mixed eggs under her. 1 Sablepoot/RIR Bantam and 1 Sablepoot/Silver Phoenix
