Do you want to know who's laying? The way you tell that is by their vent. A laying hen's vent is large and moist. While a non layer's is small and a bit dry.
You can also measure their pubic bones. See how many fingers you can fit between.

No I dont. We have 20 large chickens, 2 silkie roosters, 2 bantam cochins and 4 d'uccle hens. I did not think the finger thing would work for the little ones. They are sooooo tiny. They were hatched last March and I am not sure any of then have ever laid an egg. My previous d'uccle never laid an egg either. I am sure at least one of my bantam cochins are laying because I see her in the box. I have never seen any of my d'uccle in the boxes. These eggs are about half as big as a regular egg. I just thought they look too big for such small birds. I was thinking a d'uccle egg would be about half as big as a silkie/bantam egg. Yesterday one of my d'uccle's was singing her egg song so that is why I am wondering. Their combs are as red as can be and they are certainly old enough :)

I have cochins and d'Uccles too and I would say that the eggs are roughly the same size but different shapes. The cochin's eggs are rounder while the D'uccle eggs are more long and thin. Kinda like the birds themselves! I am always surprised by how such big eggs come from such small hens.

Mine are just starting to lay. I have 3 breeding pens, one with only Milles and a splash hen. One with milles covered by a blue mille and one with mottleds. Rhwy only just started to lay, so im only seeing one from every pen. I also have Marans/d'Uccle mix. I havent hatched any of their eggs yet . I will be selling 8 + for 35$ that includes shipping

I must be getting d'uccle eggs then. I got a small very round egg yesterday beige in color(probably cochin) and another small beige kind of oblong. My big cochins lay very round eggs too. All along I thought they were not laying!
