The heat is bad. I will be trying ti ship towards the fall and should have started birds then. I just dont know when they will stoo laying I'm hoping they go into molt by the end of july, I have a show in November and want their molt to be over and new feathers growing. Let me know if you are interested. I will hatch until they stop laying as i can sell them at the show.

whereabouts do you show? any in the south?

I show in November, at Ohio National Poultry show. I want to show more but last year when we scheduled vacations I was off on injury so missed out on any vacations this summer until end August.

I got a PM from someone close to 4 hrs. away and they'll have birds ready to go as soon as they can sex them. If all goes well, it looks like I might be taking a road trip.

Hope your birds will be all molted out for you.

So I thought this looked familiar somehow and then I realized why! I have a couple Quail Antwerp Belgian chicks and they sort of look like your little guy. here is a pic I found online.....http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...DFUf29Io_C9QSYjoCgBg&ved=0CDsQ9QEwBA&dur=2892
It's my first time with d'Uccle chicks. I hatched these out 7 weeks ago. I'm looking at the beard on this one, and it looks funny to me...the other chicks it looks like they've got tiny feathers, but this one looks like fuzz. Is it normal for a 7 week old d'Uccle? I'm thinking this one is a rooster given the red comb...but sometimes it reminds me of a hen!

I find it looks funny...but again, I have no experience raising d'Uccle from chicks...what do you guys think from your experience?

ugghhh out of our last hatch of Millies we kept 6 chicks and all 6 are roos. Anyone in North Idaho or Eastern Washington that has any Millie pullets? I don't like to have them shipped in because it is so hard on them and shipping costs so much but would love some more girls.
