D'uccle Thread

Haven't posted in this thread in a while! Here is two d'Uccles I (unknowingly) got from a Tractor Supply in March this year. The Mille Fleur cockerel (Yosemite Sam) is gorgeous, but rather feisty. The Porcelain pullet (Little Mama) never grew a beard, but is cute nonetheless.

I would definatley be emailing them if they messed up your order. And you would think that they would send extras this time of year. Where did you order from?
I got them from Privett, and I did talk to the lady and she was very nice, credited me for five chicks (for the three they got wrong, the one that was DOA, and the one unidentified one, that is either wrong or a crestless pyncheon).
I actually ended up instead ordering more d'uccles, some EE bantams, plus to complete the minimum order, some production reds and rocks to sell as started pullets on Craigslist. They will arrive next week. We'll see how that batch turns out!

Well now we need pictures. You might decide you love the Dutch. What colors did you get?
I think I will like Dutch. They seem very calm and cuddly for the most part. I got two blacks, 6 chipmunky looking ones that I think must either be bb reds, light brown, or golden, and one unidentified chick that might be either a golden dutch (not sure what the chicks look like) or an uncrested pyncheon.
For d'Uccles I got 3 mottleds, one white, one self blue (I think), and one mille fluer.
CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCChickens, i think she is, her coloring looks really nice to me!

QuoVadis, where in Wisconsin are you?
Green Bay!

It might be the light, but I'm thinking too much white. I show my birds and she won't make my cut for going to the show.
Ok, I will have to check her out her coloring better tomorrow. Besides possibly having to much white, is there anything else that she needs to have improved in order to be SQ?
