I work second shift but I leave the light in the bird's room on until I get home. He gets up around 8:30 / 9:30 which is when i should be getting up. Sometimes i pull the covers though! Believe it or not the hen is tje noisy one and she firmly believes that her food bowl must be filled the rest of the way or it's just not right. Squacks until i do it. I have another pair by default in there too...his son and the broody. I want to home the son but i worry that dad may not breed anymore. He was layed back before but aside from showing affection to her seems to have lost his mojo.

Having worms will make them feel bad and can kill them. Whatever you use to worm with, do everyone and repeat after 10 days. I know what you mean about the hens being noisy when it comes to food!

I got them. 13 in all 5 cockerels. 2 eggs were layed on the way home.

You guys will be happy to know that a Mille Fleur dUccle took champion feathered leg at Ohio nationals wow what a change. Not mine

That is great! But sorry it wasn't you. How did you do?

Well my hen wasn't done growing in her tail and I got a big T on my card. I was busy consentrating on her foot feathers I didn't notice how short her tail was. Black Mottled cockerel took BV as did my Black pullet, but that was by default. My Mille cockerel took 5th
