D'uccle Thread

Ok, I am slooooowly trying to read all 900+ pages, but I really, really wanted some opinions on my birds. So, I am going to attempt to post their photos here. I am hoping to maybe try my hand at a new hobby since my kids are abandoning me, I mean, moving on to bigger and better things. lol I'm going to miss them, so I need to find a hobby to keep me busy.

I thought maybe showing locally would keep me out of trouble, maybe. :)
This is my boy, Pampers (I know, pitiful name, but there's a long story behind it lol)

Mavis:

Madelyn:

The whole family (baby is yet unnamed)

I really enjoy these guys and was wondering if they and I would get laughed out of a chicken show barn should I ever get the guts to try to show them. Anyone want to be a very patient mentor/show buddy? :D

(please excuse the mud spots on them, it's been raining periodically here)

Thanks all!

I recently purchased 2 new pullets. She believed they where pure d'uccle but was told otherwise and she sold them listed as maybe they where d'uccle and silike mixes? I am new to chickens and was wondering what you guys might think?

The white one we named Snow and the black is Sunny.

Yup, silkie crosses, not pure:( but one of the cuter combos of breeds!

I'm not a fan of silkies but that gold in its neck is definitely different. duh just looked at the picture on my computer and it is shadow.

You need one of these guys. They lady I bought my Porcelain d"Uccle from was moving so She talked me into taking these guys too. You need one to go with your girls.

I just spent 30 min in the rain getting them out of a tree they were roosting in.
