Good grief... that is one GORGEOUS hen.
Thank you all for the compliments on "Slim", we love him.... I will try to get more picture of him... And all the show birds we have
a word of caution... they should be built thick...but not look like meat birds... as in they should still be small...I have started to see some really nice colors at shows, but on 3 pound birds... they look big... and they loose to the 1.5 pound birds.... so I guess when I think linebacker... think wide chest, wide shoulders, short neck... but still very small...Wow! Great info....thank you so much for taking the time to post that!
I've been looking over my chickens today with that in mind, and will keep going back to it. I noticed that my original hen has the linebacker look, while the younger girls don't. Is that something they should display now at a year old, or are they still maturing?
I am excited because my original hen has been laying some. My last batch of chicks are some of hers, too. I'm doing lots of hatching this year so I can see what they're hatching out and to have lots of choices to add to my little flock.
lol take 10 deep breathes hold the last one count to 10 and slowly release lolI'm getting sucked in!!!! Noooo must resist! Can't get more chickies nooooooooooo! Too cute!
