D'uccle Thread

I have alot of mixes like that for a project and so far the older ones seem to have a nice personality.
I was hoping you would say that they are beautiful babys 2 are the light carmel color and one is black with carmel tips so pretty and they have feathers on middle and outside toe anthe dark one loves to be held but the light ones don't want none of that lol

I aquired three sets of d'uccles earlier this year. A pair of milles, a trio of gold necks plus a gold neck booted bantam (roo is beautiful but has much black in his tail), and a quad of porcelains.

Oddly enough those porcelain girls--which should be a year or so old--won't lay to save their little lives. We did a round of worming two weeks ago on all birds. The next day, one of the porcelains laid an egg. I thought I'd solved the problem. Nope! She, nor her friend, have laid since.

Any other magical suggestions? I've never run into this problem. Someone suggested I mix some cayenne pepper in with their feed?

I have just hatched two groups of chicks from the others. I am excited as they were all in quarantine together for a while and were then separated by coloring. I am hatching milles, gold necks, and whites. There are two others that are only two weeks old, but look like they are feathering in bright yellow and black. I am eager to see if I can figure out the history of their genetics, but it looks like my gold necks may have some mysterious backgrounds.

All of mine started out black and either feathered out with carmal or white. What color are your hens? But mine are mille d'uccle crossed with silver sebright
