D'uccle Thread

I think it is different for every fair. At ours only to 4H kids to the showmanship and the other kids just get to enter their birds into open class where the bird is judged but they do not show them.
I think so too.

At our fair "Independent" (meaning you are not part of 4-H or FFA) kids can show in showmanship and the coop show. They can also show sheep, goats, cows, horses and any other animal that
4-Her's or FFAer's can show.

She might have a millie fleur old English... but not a d'uccle.

There is no such thing as an Old English D'uccle. There are other belgian breeds with no feathers on their legs, but not D'uccles.

Just wanted to share my Mille and Splash girls who decided to share a clutch

Looks very familiar!
I have a couple of possible blues from my splash girl x black. Waiting to see what they look like at POL. They're almost 6 months now, and I definitely like thier build. Just want to see if any other color shows up on them. Another breeder who got a splash from a pair of my whites told me to watch for the silver gene in them....

Nice. She is yours and I threw one of her daughters in with the her father, to see if they will throw a gold neck. Ive been getting a few solid blacks and some that appear to be brown reds. Dont know where that combo is coming from. Would love to see some silvers

Are d'Uccles good mothers and do they become broody easy? I know my Phoenixes are excellent moms and very protective and aggressive to the other hens and roosters. They are also very easy to become broody so I'm hoping the d'Uccles ae as well.
