D'uccle Thread

Did anyone say anything about the frostbite? I wanted to show him but this is a National event, and I don't want to pay 3.50 for the cage, he is the only rooster I have all the others are cockerels. I have two nice mottled cockerels a Blue Mottled and a Black Mottled, but pullets and cockerel should never win champion bird according to ABA standards of perfections.
All my Mille hens are looking great after their molt, I'm going to throw this out like a lot of others have, with Mille's it is important to wait to rule them out, unless you have serious defects, as show able. All my Mille girls did not have their white tail ends until this year, it is the beginning of their 2nd year and now I can start to weed out. I have a lot of nice looking pullets coming about right now and will be showing a few more this year. So now I wondering should I spend the money to get Blue Mille out their or just on the varieties that are approved.

not sure if frost bite is points taken off or if its a DQ. try contacting the booted bantam and d'uccle club and see what they say cause i haven't read anything about it being a DQ

got some nice babies growing out from my mille project but since i lost the mixed roo everyone is smooth feathered, they either have 4 toes/5 toes/ or 4 on one and 5 on the other toe, combs are either straight or modified walnut, they for the most part lack a crest, and they either have white or light black skin. just had 5 more hatch out had several killed a few months back they were looking nice :( cant wait to see how these all turn out. i think i have about 14 of them now. i plan on putting one of the cockerels back over their mom to see if i can get any silkied mille patterned babies out of them.

A for fun pic of our old girl, Amber. She is still growing in her new feathers but is starting to look nice. She is such a sweetheart - so gentle and very, very tame. She is 5 1/2 years old.

Isn't she just a cutie pie? She is my son's pet and is a big part of the reason we really like d'Uccles!!!
