I know ideal has buff columbian

I have a comb question. I have 3 d'Uccle roos. Napoleon the dominate has a nice strait comb. The other two aren't as big or strait. They are all in a coop together and get the same care. Does this mean anything? Is there anything I need to do?

Some chickens just have larger combs than others. Some flop over they are so large- in breeds such as Leghorn and Andalusian hens. I even had an Orpington hen with a comb that flopped over.

So if the combs are nice and healthy colored (not pale or purplish) there is nothing to worry over.

The comb size and shape is something they may pass down to the next generation, so breeders do try to select a good comb when selecting their breeding hens and cocks.

Here is the standard comb for the d'Uccles roo.
COMB:
Single - medium size, straight and upright, neatly arched, set firmly and evenly on head, smooth, moderately
and evenly serrated, having five regular and distinct points, front not to extend beyond point half-way between
nostrils and point of beak, but extending well over back of head, blade full but of moderate length
When it comes to the girls I like them small and close to the head

my boys? I don't know how much they weigh, but they are 8 month old bantams, probably weigh about 14 or 15 ounces... I wouldn't say much over a pound anyway... thanks, I like the looks of them too, and they have good temperaments - now to find some lovely bantam pullets or hens for them!
