D'uccle Thread

I was wondering if someone could identify which type of d'Uccles I have? I was told Mille Fleur.

I breed them together and have 3 very cute chicks now. But they are solid gold with only a little black in their tail at a month old.

I'm no expert by far. The hen looks Milli. The roo seems to be missing the black or it looks that way in the pic. You might want to put pics of the chicks and more of him on here for the genetic guru's.

Actually, other than his tail, feet and the feather under his wing, he has no other black. Would that make him a golden neck?

When I got them, they had a whole bunch of colors. But I asked for Mille.

Those are definitely mixed, but super cute! I love the look; you have the start to a very unique flock there!
:)

eta the puff at the top of the head will be your best clue as to what the daddy was, mom was probably a millie d'uccle girl if they have foot feathers. A d'anver if they don't. The puff is called a "topknot" , so search that or scroll through the breed section of BYC. Daddy was probably a standard sized boy, as long as the mother was the mini the babies will still be mini. Best luck!

I watched my little d'uccle hen lay her first egg! I just went down there and she was being weird. I thought she was like constipated so i googled symptoms.... then i looked back over and there was an egg!

cool! Mine started laying a little before Christmas, and now my silkie is laying too. I have gotten out there right after they laid it, but haven't gotten to see it yet. My silkie egg was still really warm when I got out there this morning. She was still sitting on it and got up and there was my present :)

Im looking for someone that is breeding and selling D'uccles... either hatching eggs or chicks. Looking for porcelain. Do they have a splash or lavender variety? Sory of thats a dumb question... im new to D'uccles. I have 2 in Mille Fleur now and I love them. .. looking to expand my colors. Thanks
