I kept mine together as well. I separated them to breeding pens and now when free ranging the d'Uccle go visit the Silkies and they tslkvthrough the wire.

they are bantams just not sure of breed bought them at tsc i got 4 silkies as wellThey look like Porcelain booted bantams.
well thank you.... he has a flock of about 25 millies, 3 call ducks, 2 mandarins, 3 blue slate turkeys, and 40 californian rabbits...
he does all the work on his own.... before school and after... I buy the feed.
As any typical "kid" I do still have to get after him about scoping poo... but as far as taking care of his barn, he does it all.
He does all of his breeding and showing. about 6 years ago Dr Patterson got him started with a pair, and since then he has been breeding his own.
He owes alot of thank yous to many of the open breeders(Dr. Patterson, Jim Grober, Ken Aho..I am sure there is more) as he corners them at EVERY show and has them go over all the birds and give him advice on whats good and whats not, and he learns SOOOO much doing that !
