D'uccle Thread

Well to be honest I have not bred any chickens yet lol but I have bred a lot of other animals from reptiles to fish and I like to keep things as close to the standard as I can get. I may just keep her in with the Seramas.
I have a 10 week old porcelain who is looking like a roo. If you're at all interested, please let me know. He's a nice guy, we just can't have any roosters here. I live in Grand Rapids, so not too far at all.

Hello, I finally managed to send a photo, but not more than one, and without text! Here's my question; These are 7 day old chicks, milliefleur parents, and I've never had a chick like the one on the left. Any thoughts? Mary

Mottled/mille mix? I'm just guessing here because the mottled houdans I had also had the color/pattern like the neck and head on the chick:) Is there a possibility of mottled anything in the mix?

paris- in the second photo down on the beak of the chick on the right, what is that? Is it a trick of the camera or something on the beak? Just wondering. My parent stock MFBD came from Welp and they are just gorgeous. I think you will be happy overall with the MFBD. Chicks have hatched well with feathering on all toes but the most inner toe.

I am assuming you mean from the welp posting thread (i also posted with some chicks I got from Ideal) it has mottling on the beak-so it just looks odd near the nostril.

oh my goodness!! my little roo man is having aggression issues- first time- like lorie said his attitude needs some adjusting- just a little d'uccle boy- but does bite- so- i need pointers on working with him- no culling or selling...:)
