Yeah - My Millie when broody her first full year - I pulled off the first time & she went broody again in weeks and hatched out 3 peeps and was a brave and good mom .... of FULL SIZED peeps ! (since she was on a communal nest - she took on full sized eggs)

I finally found a seller of assorted d'Uccle colors.

My first d'Uccle hen, Diccle, hatched four wheaten maran chicks (they are a fast maturing breed in case you are not famileir with them) within a few weeks she was being followed by four chicks bigger than her self.

LOL XD My friend had a game bantam hen that raised turkeys and by the time they even hatched they were pretty big for her XD You'd see really big birds with a hen that's two times smaller than them XP

None of my D'Uccle hens go broody for more than a couple days, which I am thankful for. I don't like having broody hens because I feel so bad taking eggs from them!

Whenever I had broody hens there WASN'T a way to take the eggs. They would sit on them 24-7!
