D'uccle Thread

Well, I need a male, so I just have to hope one is not mean enough to be worth keeping or I have to order yet again for this darn color
We don't intend to use ours for breeding so we don't need a roo. We have two breeding flocks already XD

I'm at about 6 flocks, but am changing things up a bit. My males from this spring will be in stackers and the hens all in one pen, otherwise I'd be adding about another 9 separate trios and pairs

Hey guys! Found this thread...
I have 2 grown buff d'uccles - a pair. We were looking for Mille Fleur, but the seller didn't mention the variety. But we're fine with the buff! They're beautiful and the sweetest birds we have!
I just hatched a d'uccle (pure breed, from the male and female buff d'uccles)
and a silkie/d'uccle cross (white silkie hen, buff d'uccle rooster)

Now that I will hopefully have two d'uccle hens, breeding will be easier (:

Overall, an amazing breed!

Cool. We don't have the ability to feed and house that many yet XD

Cool. These three are among my first four d'uccls. The first, unfortunately developed issues we couldn't handle.... Rip to cream :(

Wow buff d’Uccles! Would love to see some pics :love

I mean it’s not my thread but I think it would be fine. Do you breed them to the standard at all?
Just pet Quality. We're gonna be getting rid of the Bantams to make more space, & I can't keep the chicks for that reason.
