Nathan, your birds are very pretty! Your hen has absolutely gorgeous foot feathering! Love the cute pose of your pullet in the last picture. She looks happy to have her pic taken!

I like to go out and sit in the tractor with the d'Uccle group. They are so much fun to pet and love on. Even my few extra boys in another tractor like for me to pet and talk to them so I sit with them a while every morning and let them know how cute they are.

Rather generalized but here ya go.....

I have been trying to find out a lot more about this breed and the differences to Booted Bantams and now seeing that they are thinking about having the rose combed version added soon.

Looking at my own little birds I see it but also see where a lot of folks have the Booted Bantams, d'Anvers and d'Uccles all mixed in and calling them pure bred. I can't seem to get anyone to want to talk to me about it that has been in them a while. There is a lot of hemming and hawing about it but it seems like you just put anything in front of a judge and he either likes it or not.
I do not want to show mine but I want to breed them correctly. I read the standard and based on the little it says about them I looked over what I had and kept the closest to that.
If people are able to mix them all and show them and win then what is the point?
I know what I like and I breed for what I like. I happen to adore what the d'Uccles are supposed to be.

I don't plan to show my birds-except possibly at a local show, but mine are from excellent stock, and I plan to keep them that way. I love mine-they are just as sweet as my Silkies.
