Hi everyone, I posted a while back with pics of our little baby d'uccle that just hatched in October. Her/his parents were both porcelain d'uccles that I hatched from eggs I bought from a local breeder. The resulting baby looks very little like either of the parents.... It is more blue mille fleur looking, and while both parents had beautiful feathering over their middle toes, this baby has none. Y'all suggested I post pics, so I have some available now.

Here is the latest pic of the chick. She/he hatched October 14. I do not know if it's a boy or a girl. This picture was taken this afternoon, so he/she is 2 months and 11 days old.

Now, here is a picture taken today of this chick's biological mother, the hen that laid the egg from which the chick hatched. Isn't she so pretty? Very sweet disposition, too.

This is the father. He has passed away.

Do y'all think it's a pullet or a cockerel? Like I said, he/she is roughly 2-1/2 months old & I still can't tell! Kinda funky how I ended up with this color pattern and all.

I think that is a cockerel. The comb is already quite large for that age. My 3 pullets are almost the same age(Sept chicks) These are actually lder than yours and have smaller combs
