D'uccle Thread

I just go through McMurray for my Porcelains (hanging my head in shame now) and they have very nice porcelain girls. I have pics of mine in my default album if you want to see them.

I would, but I need a pullet and I can't order any more chicks. Especially not 15! Yours are very pretty!

No, mine has made no effort to crow yet. Unlike the hatchery millie's i had........ The one hit sexual maturity at 4 weeks! Didn't crow right away, though. I think the big EE rooster is a deterrent, though he treats my littles like they are babies, even the foster mom who is all grown up, lol.

I like weird colored ones, so I'm partial to the dark boy. I would be curious about what he would end up looking like!
Hi! just got this pair of young roos. Hatched out in the spring some time, not crowing yet. Can anyone tell me about the color? They are "culls" from a breeder who has some spectacular birds. Would like to know which is better at this age. I know they change in their second and other molts.

Hi everyone! :) can I join in? Recently my broody polish hatched 4 d'uccle chickens for me, hatching eggs were supposed to be porcelain but I realize they are far from it :( however, I do hope some of them might be pure in color anyway, maybe someone would be kind enough to give an opinion as to what color they might have or if it looks like just mixed coloring. I will find better pics later today but so far I have these:

I long believed the brightest one to be a porcelain but now he looks like this:

and that might be a bit dark?

The one behind there I believe to be gold/black (mille fleur):

Be back later with more pics ;) they are so hard to capture!
