mottled plumage is black with white v-shaped markings on the tips of some of the feathers, typically one feather out of two over most of the body. in males, the black is highly lustrous: in females it is a little duller.

i'n surprised the marans didn't squish the hens but those are pretty i would try breeding them together if they aren't brothers and sisters to see what developed out of themAlso some where in this a Marans got a hold of my Mille's after these eggs were hatched and got these, thinking I had Black D'Uccles, Here's a girl and second is of some boys cute aren't they. The Marans roo found a way in their run and I didn't know it until I caught him. Sure glad I wasn't selling eggs, that would have been bad.
