I will have to get a picture of the male, it looks like a mini marans with hock feathers. I would probably have to breed back to a mille. I think. I don't know. I need a genetics picture book for visual learners. They were a mistake, very cute, but a mistake.

That chick looks my little Marans/d'Uccle mix. Are they from your eggs or did you buy them? Here a pic of mine, mine was not intended. All of mine had the copper hackles and on the neck and a little on the chest and the white beard. Does it have white tips on its wings? Reesepoultry has a pair of mine also.
Here is a pic of mine a little older they hatch on 6/4, they are about 12 weeks old.

They are now nineteen weeks old. I sold a lot of these at the auction a couple last month.

Yours look like my chick.

I got her as a 2 month old. And as far as I know she does have any Marans.

But then again she showed me her breeding stock. And they all looked like Bon-Bon.

I don't know if it tells you what to put with what, but at least you can see what things are supposed to look like!

The ones I got from you michele (mstricer) Don't look like the brown reds. I think they do have the marans and mille fluer gene in them. I will try to get a pic of the pair I got from you to post on here. But they don't look the same as the brown/red D'Uccles.

That's what I'm thinking too.

My two won't let me take any pictures they keep running around the little house.

Ok, this is the best pic I could get right now from them. It is kinda getting dark out and in the barn right now. I will have to try to get better pics tomorrow. You can see the mille fluer coming in on the breast bones. And you can see the copper maran on the backs and necks.
