I'm saying self blue. Could you get a closer pic so we could be sure?

How would self blue be different than porcelein as chicks? What would be the detremining factor..
Just thinking that the pattern does not show up until older on mille fleurs... Thanks for clarifying.

She is about a year old but not really sure onher age and thank you very much i love her to death .

Sure I will get another picture close up its parents are lavender mottles but it doesnt look like the mottles !!

A few weeks ago I had my mystery hatch. All parents are D'uccles. There is NO chance another boy can get in the coop/pen area. The ONLY change was the parents were treated with Doxycycline shortly before egg collection.
Here they are about 3 weeks out.

Both "yellow" ones...different shades, no spots. You can see the black mohawks in the background....



A better view of the mohawks. NO idea where the head tufts came from.




They were all black up until about a week ago...then 2 of the black ones started getting brown stripes on their necks. You can barely see them, but they are there.


Here is a closer view of the stripes.


Just thought I would share the interesting hatch I had. I have 6 eggs set to hatch in the next 24-48 hours....we will see what we get this time!
