if they are laying before the byc hatch please tell me i havent found any one with self blues yet and would really like black can you pm me on the cost and such

When is the BYC hatch? I only come to this thread any more, so I am out of the loop....

I hatched a couple of lavenders and a half-dozen black d'Uccles just before Thanksgiving. Hoping Mama takes good care of them during the cold snap tonight....

I would like black D'uccles as well. Would you be selling chicks in the spring also?

Haven't been on here in a few days, and this thread is super busy lately!!! Sorry if I'm a bit behind but I wanted to jump into the incubator conversation. I have a Hovabator Genesis and LOVE it. It was pretty cheap, under $200 and I had every fertilized egg hatch. Granted, I only incubated 10 eggs, but for all to hatch except for 2 infertile eggs I thought was pretty good for my first try.

On a side note, the pic posted of the black mottled roo a few pages back was gorgeous!

I would like black D'uccles as well. Would you be selling chicks in the spring also?

I have always sold my chicks locally, at the shows I attend. I have never shipped any of my birds, chicks or adults, although I know other people that do. I am afraid it would make me a nervous wreck!

Yep, that is the date. All welcome mrheniz77 is trying to have over 200 participates. As for those d'Uccle eggs, I got my first egg yesterday. Since changing up pens and switching everyone around. Nothing today. I'm trying to get a few for myself for the hatch. Wish I could help, I haven't seen any on BST thread either. You could try crazypetlady she has Mille's but I don't know if hers are laying.
But if I get any explosion of egg laying

before the 5th I will PM and share.

i am getting millies from someone with really nice birds he has a profile on here i can contact him if you want some i dont need very many he sells them a dollar an egg plus shipping. so we could both get some off him. i would offer my own eggs but right now i have my self blues in with my millies and i also have a silkie hen in there who is laying
