D'Uccles...Self-Blue & Lavender the same thing? PICS added post #5

That's why I always thought he's a D'Uccle. He used to have slightly more beard and muffs, but the hens picked out some of them a while back. They're starting to get a little fuller now, but they've never been huge. I guess I'll keep calling him a lavender d'uccle, I really think that's what he is.

I have a little roo named Little Man that looks exactly like yours. I love him. I actually bought him and a little pullet from TSC. They were absolutely beautiful together. I had them for months and the little hen, Little Bit, hatched only one chick out of five eggs. It was the exact solid, light grey color as they were as chicks. I ended up losing both the hen and chick to a predator. I am just sick about it, because now I can't find the same breed of hen. However, my daughter was able to find a little Porcelain D'Uccle for him, because he was just frantic without her. She's cute as a bug, but she is much smaller than what my Little bit was. I wish I could find another one that looks like my Little Man. TSC said that they got all of their chicks from the Hoover Hatchery, but I can't find the same breed on their website. However, they do sell the Porcelain D'Uccles. If anyone knows where to find this breed, please let me know. Where did you get your little guy?
