Duck #2

Yes, her run has shade and her "house" has a roof covering it. She has plenty of shade... She is in the bath tub now, after a dramatic escape/fly/run out of her house!

We're doing it right now! Side note: no quacking while we chased Scuba around the yard...not even when we picked him/her up. Just raspy noises!

Is this what you needed to see? Check out how cute Scuba is...

Whatchu lookin' at?

Sleeping...standing up...

We're not going to clip her wings just yet. When is the right age to do it? She is 2 months old. We read that you shouldn't trim new feathers because they could have a quick and make them bleed to death...

Oh, I see it now. Well shoot! It's going to take me a while to call him a boy now... oh well, thanks! Any tips on clipping his wings? When should we do it? He's 9 weeks old.

Soon as the flight feather have grown in you clip. go to Metzers web site there you can find out how much to clip because if you don't clip enough he'll still fly. At least his name can stay right? I like that name and he is so pretty.

Hey yall! We realized that we haven't been on BYC in a long time, so we're due for an update! One of our goats had two kids, and we've been very distracted by their cuteness. See??

Oreo (left) and Piper (right). They're awesome!

Sooooo Scuba is officially getting his green head coloring...I'll attach a picture. He is 13 weeks old now.

The other two are almost the same size as Scuba and have all their feathers grown out. All three of them are getting along really well now! At first Scuba would snap at the younger ones anytime they got close to his pool/water. Now, they all try getting in the water at the same time...

They stink to high Heaven and the flies are getting ridiculous. Any tips? We keep their housing and run clean and change the water when it starts looking gross.
