Duck acting odd possible trauma or infection green poop

I just googled and found these location in Pa so I email the 3 spots guess I’ll see what they say. I def want to do this since I have another duck and plan on hatching 1-2 more now so she’s not alone

If your duck is alone right now, it would probably be a better idea to check your local craigslist and try to find an adult duck friend. If you hatch them out yourself it is going to take a long time before she actually has a friend.

Thanks for advice I agree as I did go on petfinder earlier to try to find one to adopt but only couple male mallard ducks 3 hours away I wouldn’t want to break them up though. My husband insists she thinks the turkeys are her friends which is kind of true because they were all babies together and in pen together until turkeys got too big. And she was the one that would leave the one that passed away in the pond and run for the turkeys we used to say she has a crush on one. Because of inclement weather we’ve been putting them in the turkey pen past month to get out of snow but we can’t normally do that around mating season the turkeys are dangerous. I didn’t put her In there past few days tho with them since I’m wondering if something In their pen caused this but she has been sitting outside their pen and I had let everyone out all day today. I already ordered eggs I know it’s going to take almost two months for her to have another pal but I don’t know what else to do. I wanted to bring her in but my husband said that she won’t like that she’s used to sleeping with the goats and being out with turkeys during day.

I'm with @SolarDuck on this one. The time it take to hatch a duckling and let it get old enough to introduce to an adult is a long time for a duck to be alone.

Of course it is your choice.

I know I agree i wrote back what I attempted already and I’m hoping fact we have turkeys she grew up with all babies together helps get her through - a huge plus is she does that head bob duck dance when she sees them all happy

Yeah, I just saw that. That's sweet that she likes the turkeys. 💖

In regards to the necropsy, my understanding is you'll need to put your duck in the fridge (not freezer) to prevent decomposition before you send her body. I'm sorry I can't find that article about it. Maybe you have already found information on it.

I’ll take a video tomorrow of her with them and maybe someone can give input if she seems happy enough to make it through until I hatch and introduce in couple months. I just realized I may be able to get one at tractor sooner I’ll call tmrw and ask when they get their ducklings in.

Yes i read online about how to store and make the box to send off. My husband wrapped in towel and put in our garage for now so it’s really cold down there I’m sure refrigerator temps. Thanks

If she's doing the head-bobbing thing to them I think she'll be okay until you get grow one out or buy one.
